Patients & FamiliesIf you or someone you care for has had a stroke, you are aware of how difficult it can be to perform and practice therapeutic exercises designed to improve recovery. The Myomo e100 NeuroRobotic System is a new category of medical device technology that may help. Myomo therapy is designed to help individuals relearn how to move affected muscles by facilitating their ability to practice desired movements that they otherwise might not be able to do. Myomo therapy does not require surgery, medicine or electrical stimulation of any kind. Instead it employs advanced NeuroRobotics technology to allow individuals to self initiate and control movement of affected limbs using their own biological signals. Wearable and portable, the Myomo device is optimized to facilitate patient therapy in seated, standing or ambulatory positions. The Myomo e100 NeuroRobotic System has shown clinically meaningful results in stroke patients who had experienced a stroke one and a half to 10 years earlier. The Myomo device is currently only available through clinics offering stroke rehabilitation services. Contact us to find a clinic in your area. Note: Federal (USA) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician or physical therapist. Note: The Myomo e100 NeuroRobotic System is intended for clinical use by patients with their treating medical professional. The device has not been shown to be safe or effective as a functional aid for use in the home.
