Experiences Reported by Study Participants

The following section includes experiences reported by people who have participated in clinical studies using the Myomo e100 NeuroRobotic System. Many people who have used the Myomo device report beneficial results. As you read their stories, please note that the experiences described are specific to these particular individuals. Results may vary. The Myomo e100 NeuroRobotic System may provide more or less improvement than the following stories.

"It's been almost two years since I trained with the Myomo device and my recovery has been maintained. Cooking, dressing, shopping, turning on light switches, opening cabinets — it's easier now that I have two arms again."

32-year-old woman, 1.5 years post CVA (Participant in the Myomo pilot study, 2005)

"I can extend my affected arm on my own and am more aware of it. It's made it possible for me to wash both hands. Dressing, carrying objects, opening doors, and eating are now easier for me."

63-year-old woman, 1 year post CVA (Participant in the Myomo Functional Task Study, 2006)

"I can feel my arm more, and can move it further and faster. I can also now turn my wrist both ways and my hand is looser, which helps with lots of things, like opening jars and grasping things. I am now able to do things that I could not before like pouring my own creamer into my coffee cup, and removing mail from an envelope with a letter opener. I also learned how to do certain activities more effectively, like carrying a laundry basket in front of me, and opening the refrigerator door with my affected hand so I can use my dominant arm to remove things."

58-year-old male, 1.5 years post CVA (Participant in the Myomo Case Study, 2006)

"My arm has woken up. I am more aware of it, and find I use it unconsciously. The other day at work, while carrying mail, I bumped into something and started dropping pieces. I was amazed to find my affected arm reaching out to catch some of the falling mail."

40-year-old woman, 21 years post CVA (Participant in the Myomo Case Study, 2006)
