Myomo® has been used in rehabilitation clinics and hospitals since 2007. We are also now cleared by the FDA for use in the home. In either setting, although results vary from patient to patient, therapy from a physical or occupational therapist (trained and certified to use the Myomo System) and adherence to a prescribed therapy program is critical to improvement.
Myomo for Clinical Organizations
Myomo has been used by therapists in community hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals and clinics, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare agencies as part of neurological rehabilitation programs. If you would like more information, please fill out the form to the right. We will call you to schedule an in-service presentation which takes about 30 minutes and can be presented via the Web.
Myomo for Home Use
For patients that purchase Myomo for use in the home, the therapist is an important part of the process; and is critical to the success of stroke survivors using our device. To acquire the product we have a defined process that requires a prescription and either a clinical partner or local therapist. If a patient does not have an existing relationship with a therapist, our aim is to connect the patient with one through our Independent Therapist Network.
For the therapist, Myomo provides training and certification through a standardized certification program and continuing education (CE) courses in the geographic areas where Myomo is available. To join Myomo’s Independent Therapist Network, please fill out the form to the right.
