If you are reading this entry then you are probably wondering if the Myomo device will help your hand function. Many of the patients that have used the Myomo technology have seen improvements in hand function as an indirect result of using the upper arm more. The goal of using the technology is to perform functional tasks such as pushing up from sit to stand, eating, reaching and lifting. Many of these tasks can benefit from having distal function, even if it is only positional.
The Myomo team has put together a list of hand splints that have been making the device easier to use for functional tasks. If you have any questions on any of these particular splints, please ask your Myomo certified therapist or email us at clinical@myomo.com
